Shark Bay, the pool with sand inside

The future of Aqualandia is clearer and clearer. The course undertaken by the six time Water Park N°1 in Italy is directed to its transformation in Themed Park (with a high water component) and a change of name is in project. While last year the entrance of Aqualandia has been completely renewed, reproducing the architecture and atmosphere of a typical street in Key West, this year they are working to a special innovation that will change the wave pool. Waiting for the creation of Tsunami Beach, the great lagoon with 3 metre waves that will allow surf and body board, the works are in progress to modify the present  pool in a real Caribbean beach, next to Venice.

Shark Bay will be the first  pool in the world with sand not only outside but also inside the water. Among palm trees, the theming with rocks and wooden boards, tha white sand from the Caribbean and the clear water, the impression to be in Virgin Gorda or in La Digue will be real.

"There are already some structures that present  pools with the sand on the floor" said Luciano Pareschi, owner of Aqualandia, "but for technical reason they use quarts or artificial sands, which are big and sharp-pointed and don't offer the real sensation to walk on the sand and they are sometimes painful for the feet. We will use sand coming from the Caribbean beaches, that will give the feeling to walk on real sand and the water will have a real clearness that was not possible with the concrete floor".
